Be a Bi-Vocational Pastor

A “Bi-Vocational Pastor” is a lay leader chosen by the Conference and supported by the sponsoring church—one who has completed certification through training and demonstrated fitness for ministry. Recertification to Bi-Vocational Pastor status will be contingent upon participation in the annual recertification training and an annual review and recommendation from the sponsoring church board. The Bi-vocational Pastor must be involved in an ongoing training process for certification as a Bi-vocational pastor. Character, leadership, spirituality, loyalty to the church, theology, and cooperative spirit must be demonstrated. The Bi-Vocational Pastor will be licensed after the missionary group reaches Company status or if he is assigned to an organized church.
